Service Description

I am happy to provide support for mothers and families who have decided to choose the hospital as their preferred birth location. Some women decide to give birth in the hospital because that is where they feel comfortable, whereas others may have circumstances or conditions (either pregnancy-related or pre-existing) that necessitate giving birth in the medical setting. Whatever your unique situation may be, I am eager to assist you in creating a pregnancy, birth, and postpartum plan specific to your individual goals and hopes for your baby's birth. What's Included ~Meet-and-Greet Client/Doula Interview (pre-booking session): this can be in-person, telephone, or virtual based on your preference. ~Initial Prenatal Appointment, in-person or virtual, at approximately 32 weeks gestation. ~Pre-Labor Prenatal Appointment, in-person or virtual, at approximately 35 weeks gestation. ~Childbirth education and birth planning assistance. ~Once monthly check-ins, virtually or via telephone, prior to 32 weeks gestation (if applicable). ~24/7 telephone support via talk or text throughout pregnancy. ~24/7 on-call availability from 38 weeks gestation until the birth of your baby. * ~Unlimited phone, text, and virtual communication during the early labor phase. ~Continuous in-person support at your home or the hospital from the time active labor is established until 1-2 hours following the birth of your baby.** ~Assistance with postpartum bonding during "The Golden Hour," such as breastfeeding and skin-to-skin contact, as needed and/or desired by you. ~Photos throughout your labor and birth if desired, or referral to a professional birth photographer. Fill out a Contact Form or use the contact information below to set up an appointment today! * I will make every effort to be available to attend your labor and birth outside of this established window, but the specified timeframe will be reserved for your birth and I will ensure that I am available 24/7 during this time (barring any unforeseen emergency situation). **Where a doula is permitted to be physically present in compliance with facility policy or COVID-19 guidelines. If in-person support is not permitted, the same support will be provided continuously through a virtual platform. It is essential that the client checks with their birth center regarding their doula/labor support person policy prior to booking any services.
